EDITORIAL BOARD
The Editorial Board of ÁREAS NATURALES PROTEGIDAS SCRIPTA is formed by the Editorial Council, Editorial Committee, Editor-in-Chief, English Editor, and the Editorial Graphic Designer.
Integration and functions of its two collegial bodies are:
Editorial Council
The Editorial Council is composed of top level internationally renowned researchers, who ensure the high quality of the magazine from the academic point of view.
Its functions includes making recommendations on the policy and editorial content of this scientific journal and to serve as liaisons with national and international academic communities.
Editorial Committee
The Editorial Committee is composed of prestigious national researches that ensure both the interdisciplinary characteristic of the journal and the regional balance of the contributions.
Their duties include performing an initial review of the submitted manuscripts, assessing their relevance to the journal, and choosing the referees for each one of them according to the subject of the contributions.
Likewise, their functions include sending the evaluation form to the referees of the manuscript; maintaining the necessary contact with the corresponding author and referees throughout the manuscript evaluation process; filling out the respective follow-up binnacle; and preparing the report and its communication to the Editor-in-Chief.
Another function of the Editorial Committee members is acting as liaisons with regional research communities across the country.
