Francisco Valadez Cruz is PhD on Biology with specialty in Limnology. He was professor at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (Science School) for more than 10 years. He has directed Bachelor and PhD thesis. He is author of research articles and chapters in diverse books. He has directed several projects about microalgae biodiversity and water quality. His field of interest is the conservation of inland aquatic resources. He was part of the group of scientists that conducted research and preparation of the technical report to declare the Protected Natural Area: Ring of Cenotes Geohydrological State Reserve, Yucatan.
