Magdalena Lagunas-Vázquez is Doctor of Science from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur. Master of Science in Integrated Tropical Coastal Area from the University of Costa Rica. Degree in Marine Biology from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur. Authored or coauthored six original research articles and 12 book chapters. Co-editor of two books. Directed and participated in nine research projects focused on participatory research, resource management and rural development. Participated in 19 projects in environmental education, environmental planning, ecological restoration and environmental impact. Currently technician Academic at the program of Environmental Planning in CIBNOR S.C. His research interests include: gender and human equality, human development, rurality.
